Born in 1967, Régis Goddyn is a professor of Art at the University of Amiens.
"It was on the train going to work in Villetaneuse that I started reading fantasy, on the rails to work, five hours a day gobbling up kilometres and pages, a book in my hand and a thermos of coffee in a bag. I came to know the work of George R.R. Martin, Robin Hobb, Orson Scott Card and Wolfgang Hohlbein..., everything fantasy literature can offer to comfort a man just sitting on a train early on an icy-cold morning. Then, almost imperceptibly, even though my thermos remained a true friend, a pen replaced the book in my hand."
