This latest volume doesn’t resolve the questions raised in the previous book, but yet again shows that the plot of the Sang des 7 Rois is a lot more complicated than one might imagine. We see certain characters in a new light and we observe the pawns quietly being pushed into place… but we still can’t guess what the author has in store for us in the next instalment!
