Métro Paris 2033 (Paris Metro 2033)
Volume II - Rive Droite (Right Bank)
“You are born in piss, shit and fear. It is also in piss, shit and fear that you breathe your last breath. Life, in the end; my life is an insignificant interlude between two organic loosenings.”
Metro 2033 is a post-apocalyptic universe created by Dmitri Glukhovski in which a war has destroyed the planet, rendering its surface. The survivors have split into micro-societies and have found shelter in the depths of the Moscow metro.
Métro Paris 2033 transposes this concept to Paris: following an apocalyptic episode, communities of survivors made up of humans, mutants and humanoids have settled in certain stations of the Parisian metro. But conflict is brewing among them.
Madone, the Lady of Bac, believes in a new way of living together. She wants to make life in the metro fairer, to put an end to the violence, to share the wealth. But her desire to bring people together encounters the religious dictatorship of Pastor Parn, the Celestial Radiance, who enjoys immense power.
A dark saga that raises questions about humanity, in three volumes: Rive Gauche, Rive Droite and Cité.
“We have been but brief interludes in time, but beautiful ones with our emotions, our feelings, our certainties, our doubts, our qualities, our flaws, our sufferings, our sorrows and our dreams.”

“A well-made trilogy, intense and galvanizing, frightening and touching. A must read, without hesitation.”
