Celestial Enchanters

Book One: He-who-comes-from-sound

A child of the planet Jesomine, brought up by desert creatures, becomes the disciple of Marmat Tchalé, a celestial enchanter who has given him a home. Passing from one world to another through the chaldria, enchanters are responsible for the preservation of the memory of the human peoples scattered throughout the cosmos. But although in former times they were worshipped like gods, they have now become the target of recurrent aggression. Some have even disappeared. At the same time there are strange manifestations. A singular evil creature seems to be rising above the human worlds. A dragon or a blood-coloured snake with a beak and feathers.
It is in this disturbing atmosphere that Seke, the young Jesominian, has to start his apprenticeship as both man and enchanter...

With Griots Célestes Pierre Bordage returns to the Space Opera theme. And through a hundred baroque worlds, a hundred adventures and a hundred quests, the same question haunts the author and his characters: what does "human" really mean?
