La quête d'Espérance
Commander

The Celestial Archipelago Esperance has taken flight from the dumbstruck iron pirates and as a result all is revealed in this last volume of the trilogy!

We learn that Izaïn is an immature clone of the founder of the colony, which explains his blank memory. What a shock for the boy!

The discovery of the true nature of the living vessels is just as rich in surprises. They are in fact native creatures of the planet, in the past genetically modified by the colonists to serve as transporters and finders of fluid, so essential for their reproduction. In the end Esperance thus multiplies herself, allowing Izaïn to command a flotilla of living vessels to face the iron pirates in a final combat.

In particular Izaïn gains access to the genetic programme of Esperance, thanks to the indications in his mysterious book, and unleashes the final phase of terra-formation previously interrupted by the revolt of the machines (future iron pirates) that decimated the colony. In this way he can put the finishing touches to the work of the Founder!

The first book of La quête d'Espérance (The Esperance Quest) :  Izaïn, né du désert (Izaïn, desert-born) was shortlisted for the Tam-Tam selection 2011, Je bouquine (age 11 and over), in partnership with the Montreuil Youth book fair.
