Eight centuries have passed since Abzalon's adventure and the Esterion landing in the new world...
The descendants of Abzalon and his companions have settled on the plains of the Triangle, dividing the country into vast agricultural estates managed by women. Everything would be perfect if it weren't for the “umbres”: mysterious flying predators of man. And if it weren't for the “protectors of the pathways”: masked men and self-proclaimed guardians of the "seven pathways of evolution" who hunt down “cursed lines of descendants”.
One day a hunter arrives at Orchale's estate and starts to ask strange questions. The protectors of the pathways are looking for his adoptive son, Orcheron. What crime has he committed? He has no other choice but to flee; to escape in order to discover this as yet little known world; to try to solve the mystery of his past and also that of the umbres and perhaps open up an eighth pathway just as Abzalon and Ellula did for their companions in the original spaceship...
