Nowhere Island
Commander

NowHere Island

September 1931: after the death of his leading actor and of a local man, William Haskins leaves Hawaii where he has just finished shooting a film. But a strange curse seems to be hanging over Nowhere Island: directly after his return to New York, the director is found burnt alive in his home; later, it's the turn of an actress in the film, Betty Turner, who falls into a coma.
Peg Entwhistle, William's mistress and Betty's friend, now fears for her life. Who is this fleeting shadow lurking in the hills of Hollywoodland?
On the set of Treize Femmes (Thirteen Women), the forerunner of the horror film genre, young Marcus Turner, Betty's brother, tries everything to save the fragile starlet - in this world and the next.

Hollywood cinema, thriller, add a touch of shamanism and revenge, a twist of Hawaii and horror... In short, a cocktail of everything that created the successes and scandals of the genre productions of the 1930's. Add illustrations worthy of Milton Caniff and Hugo Pratt. Shake and served chilled.
