Prince of Darkness
27 July 1830. Rebellion is breaking out in Paris against Charles X and the Polignac government. It is the first of three days that will be named the Glorious Three.
The Prince of Condé, in fear of his life, wants to change his will and leave France. But two bags of gold sent by the Roquebère lawyers to the Prince are stolen during a bloody ambush. And Sophie Dawes, his perverse English mistress, has no intention of letting this inheritance escape her.
A pursuit ensues with the backdrop of Paris put to fire and sword, and young Séraphine, errand-girl for the Roquebères, who no way hides her revolutionary sympathies, risks her life and her liberty. At the same time the “Prince of Darkness” appears in public: a legendary figure who makes his appearance to the people during times of great difficulty.
