You've had enough of receiving all that spam in your in-box?
You're fed up with your email address being used to sell you medicines, watches, pornography and a hundred and one other things that you couldn't care less about? Well, what if spam turned into something alive and tangible, if it took the form not of an Internet message, but of an army of individuals ready to sell you perfectly useless things, in the street, at the supermarket or on the beach...?
Ok? Well that's what's about to happen in the town of Promonthia, if Fergus doesn't manage to carry out his mission. It's not that Fergus feels committed to the greater good of society or anything like that, far from it. Fergus just doesn't want his ex-wife Ingrid to leave with his treasured '72 Mustang. But Ingrid will do so unless he helps her find out what is behind real spam. Ingrid, his unpleasant ex-wife, is the only inhabitant in Promonthia committed to an ideal.
Fergus must start by taking total charge of his friend Marcel and his legendary bad luck. Marcel is no other than the Cubeman, the very first logo-man and the official mascot of the D-Cube company, which unfortunately holds him responsible for the bad results of its latest technological inventions.
So then it's Fergus' turn to get Marcel's run of bad luck. His nights are haunted by nightmarish beings that brainwash him into selling anything and everything. And when he wakes up, off he goes to promote washing powder, some anti-allergic concoction or other and whatever else.
Real spam has claimed its first victims.
This is what can happen to you in Promonthia, a town governed by publicity and marketing.
And, if the target is to increase sales, anything goes.
Doesn't that remind you of something?
