Vincent Gessler
Mimosa
Commander

What do Lambert Wilson, Adolf Hitler, Doctor Snuggles, Jesus Christ, Philippe Katerine and James Brown all have in common?

They are all part of a crazy adventure that takes place in Santa Anna, a cosmopolitan town in a completely vegetarian world, where the latest trend is to be the look-alike of a famous person, real or fictional.

Except for Tessa.

Tessa prides herself in being an authentic original. And, at the head of the Two Guns Company & Associated Agency, she is leading an enquiry into human organ trafficking. While doing this she makes some curious discoveries about her past and sets off in search of her memories, accompanied by Ed Harris and Crocodile Dundee.

Part philosophical contemplation, part highly charged action, in Mimosa we travel through an improbable saga where clones, virtual doubles, artificial intelligence and legendary characters from crime and the cinema all intermingle.

Mind-blowingly crazy and subversive.

A real masterpiece of a second novel by Vincent Gessler. As with Cygnis he has just the right balance between subject and literary form.
