Emmanuel Werner

Aged 31, Emmanuel Werner was born in Strasbourg. He spent his childhood in Barr, a little town on the wine route. He worked as a librarian, first in the bas-Rhin, then in Paris. In 2004 with the help of a grant, his friends and some translation work, he went to live in the United States for nine months. It was at this time that he wrote the first draft of Infabula. In February 2006 he met Clayton Burckhart, the photographer, during an exhibition of his work in Paris. Since January 2005 he has been living in Alsace, in Andlau, three miles from where he was born.
